Are you going on holiday ???

If you are travelling in the UK or abroad you will need to request your medication in plenty of time either through your chosen pharmacy or by calling in with a repeat slip . You will need to request at least 10 days before you are going away .If you are needing sooner or needing extra medication for long breaks away then please add a note to say you are going on holiday and how long for or it may not be processed.

We do not have any control over the timing of dispensing by your chosen pharmacy, you will need to check if they have all the items you are needing in stock in plenty of time before travelling.

The same applies for any other administrative requests such as fit to fly letter , letters from the GP advising of medication / needles to be carried abroad etc...We would need at least 3 weeks to process please. We will help where possible if a last minute /late deal holiday has been booked but this cannot be guaranteed. It is the patients responsibility to preplan .

Travel vaccinations and Travel Advice

We offer some travel vaccinations for free but some will need to be paid for through a private travel clinic. We offer this service as a courtesy to our patients and it is not always possible to offer all the time, for example, if the practice nurse is not available. In those circumstances the patient will need to seek advice elsewhere unless they can wait to see the practice Nurse.  l

If you are going  holiday with less than 6 weeks before the departure date we cannot book travel assessments . You will need to seek advice from a Travel clinic.. If we have no appointments available to see the Practice Nurse then an appointment will need to be made with an alternative clinic.

**Please see our Travel vaccinations section **

Thank you

Home

28/4/25  Due to being short staffed  and a huge number of calls we have been informed that patients are struggling to get through to the surgery .We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

There have been 1400+ telephone calls to reception this morning. If the telephones reach capacity then they will cut off. We apologise if this has happened but unfortunately the telephone capacity is out of our control . If patients then continue to call at busy periods the same will keep happening.

It takes 36 seconds for the call message to then put patients through , if a patient does not wait for the full message and hangs up then they will never join the queuing system .

We will aim to call patients back that have tried ringing multiple times without being able to get through .Please note that if you have a with held number OR your telephone number is not up to date on your medical record then we will not be able to call you back.

Please note we also have PATCHS where you can submit an online consultation.

Thankyou

Our website is under maintenance .We are working to make improvements to access online .
