National Data Opt Out (NDOO)

Also on 25^th May the NHS Digital launches the National Data Opt Out. You can choose whether to allow NHS Digital to use your confidential data for Research and Planning.

Confidential information means information that identifies you and says something about your health, care or treatment.

Reception Services at Charter 

Surgery telephone lines are staffed from 08:00 to 18:00 (18:30 for urgent problems) Monday to Friday except public holidays and training afternoons listed below.

A 24 hour 7 day a week automated telephone service is also available - choose Option 1.

Extended Hours Service (EHS).

This NHS service offers evening and weekend appointments with Doctors and other health professionals.   With your permission, the EHS clinician is able to remotely view and edit the electronic medical record held by your own GP Surgery. 

The EHS clinic is located at Charter Medical Centre or Trinity Medical Centre (near George Street) on a 3 month rotation. 

You may be able to see your own Doctor if they are working for the EHS service.  

To book an EHS Appointment at either Charter or Trinity, speak to Charter Medical Centre Reception 01273 770555. 

To request an EHS same day appointments at the weekend,  telephone 111 for the NHS 111 Service. 

Patients must give consent for their notes to be both read, and added to.

Additional Surgery Closure Dates

We sometimes need to close the surgery for all or part of an afternoon to provide training time for staff and clinicians.  If you have an urgent problem which cannot wait until we re-open, telephone 111 to speak to the NHS 111 service.  You will be directed to a Doctor if you need one. 

Please note that when training falls on a Tuesday or Thursday,  Charter evening clinics will run as normal from 18:30. 

The Brighton and Hove Extended Hours Service will also run as normal.
