FLU VACCINE
The flu vaccine helps protect against flu, which can be a serious or life-threatening illness. It's offered on the NHS every year in autumn or early winter to people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu.
Pregnant ladies, children aged 2-3 and young adults at risk at now being vaccinated and called for. All other adults will be eligible for the vaccine from the 3rd October.
Who's eligible for a flu vaccine?
- are aged 65 or over
- have certain long-term health conditions
- are pregnant
- live in a care home
- are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
- live with someone who has a weakened immune system

RSV VACCINE
Are you eligible for the free RSV vaccine?
Pregnant Women
All pregnant women who are 28 weeks and above will be invited to have the RSV vaccine at the surgery. The vaccine is administered each pregnancy to protect yourself and the baby.
Older Adults
- If you are turning 75 years old on or after 1st September 2024,you will be invited for the RSV vaccine as one off dose.
- If you are aged 75 - 79 years old
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is one of the most common viruses to affect your respiratory (breathing) system. It’s highly infectious. In most people, it will only cause a mild illness. Common symptoms include:
- a runny nose
- decrease in appetite
- a cough
- fever
Most people recover after 2 to 3 weeks of illness. In some people, RSV can cause severe illnesses like bronchiolitis (infection of the small airways in the lung) and pneumonia. These can mean a stay in hospital.
Older adults may be more at risk of serious illness due to RSV infection.
The RSV vaccine is a quick and easy way to protect against RSV illness.

We are CLOSED on bank holidays, please make sure you order your prescriptions with enough time.
Telephone lines are open from 8am until surgery closing time.
