In order to relieve the pressure on GP practices, consider whether you can make use of other relevant NHS services - providing you with the most appropriate care as soon as possible.
GP practices across Wales face the challenge of providing the highest quality of primary healthcare with finite resources. With over 19 million consultations each year it is important to offer consultations to those who need it the most.

Important information for our patients
If you wish to speak to a doctor, please contact the surgery to book a telephone consultation and a doctor will call you back. Please do not attend the surgery as all appointments are arranged following a telephone consultation.
The guidance is that individuals who have Covid-19 symptoms follows self-assessment tool and, if it advises them to self-isolate, it will direct them to the isolation notes which covers the individual for 10 days from commencement of symptoms OR for 14 days if a confirmed contact.
If after 10 days, the person feels they are too unwell to return to work, then the advice is to contact 111. If, following an assessment, the patient is directed to the GP it is then the GP who will be able to issue a fit note. This is found in the 'Ending Self-Isolation Guidance'.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN INVITED OR ARE COLLECTING YOUR PRESCRIPTION.
