Winter Vaccines

Vaccinations are being done by the Forth Valley immunisation team and you will be called by them.

If you have any queries regarding Covid-19 Boosters or flu vaccinations, please telephone 0800 130 3120.

Flu Vaccination for housebound patients

The quickest way to get a flu vaccination is to attend one of the clinics. However, if you are unable to leave the house due to medical problems and are entitled to a flu vaccine, phone 0800 130 3120 and request a home visit.

COVID-19 Vaccine 

Information about the COVID vaccination programme is available on NHS Inform, or via a national COVID Vaccine helpline on 0800 0308013 (8am-8pm 7 days a week). 

Try a video consultation instead of seeing your doctor or nurse

We are actively promoting video-consultations with the healthcare staff at Dollar Health Centre.   This reduces the footfall within the practice and can allow people to have a consultation from the convenience of their home or work.    Please ask the receptionist for a video consultation when you call the practice.  More information can be found here

Dollar Health Centre provides General Practice and Primary Healthcare services for people living in the Dollar area of Forth Valley.

Infectious Disease 

Remember, if you think you may have COVID-19 or any other infectious disease, please do not attend Dollar Health Centre without prior letting the admin team know by phone. We can arrange a time to visit, when it is quieter and reduce the chance of spread the infection. Thank you for working with this to protect our community.

Lunchtime

The practice is closed every day between 1pm-2pm so all staff can attend a meeting and have protected time for lunch and administration tasks. Urgent phone calls to 01259 742120 will still be answered between this time.

Extended Hours

Our practice operate extended hours over and above normal surgery core hours. Extended hours clinics are aimed to offer a greater range of appointments for routine medical conditions by offering telephone appointments between 7.30am until 8.30am or between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on certain days. Please ask our admin team for available appointments.

Accessing Medical Services When We Are Closed

If you need medical assistance during the evening, weekend, or other times we are closed, please phone NHS 24 on 111.  You may be asked to attend the GP out-of-hours service, which operates from Forth Valley Hospital Larbert or Stirling Community Hospital 

For life-threatening emergencies, please phone 999.
